North End/Milwaukee Junction Main Street Engagement Project (2025):
Provided 50 hours of support (Aug–Sept 2025) toward achieving Main Street designation.
Three core areas of engagement:
- Main Street Mixer event organization
- MEDC / Ready to Recruit Market Snapshot/
- coordination
- Development of historic preservation planning framework.
Canvassed 57 businesses and 243 residences in-district.
Digital outreach included: Emails via Vanguard list server, direct outreach to 605 Detroit neighborhood associations and block clubs.
Social media outreach: 422,000 impressions for Market Snapshot Meeting, 337,700 impressions for
Main Street Mixer; Average online audience reach: 84,418 per posting.
MEDC Market Snapshot Meeting (Sept 10, 2025)
Attendance: 33 total (included guided MEDC district
tour and advanced dialogue on business development and investment opportunities).
Main Street Mixer (Sept 18, 2025)
Attendance: 38 total; Strengthened relationships between
businesses, residents, stakeholders and reinforced district-wide interest in the Main Street program.
Historic Preservation Planning: Began relationship-building with the Detroit Historic District
Commission State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), and Michigan Economic Development
Corporation (MEDC).
